
Adult Family Violence Support Specialist

The Role:
This role involves working as a shift worker, primarily on evening shifts on a casual basis. The primary objective is to provide support to adults affected by family violence through various means, including assessment, brief-intervention, and trauma-informed responses.
The ability to work autonomously, with on-call support when needed, is required. Specialist assessments will be provided as part of our integrated Safe at Home response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist adults in recovering from their experience of family violence through information provision, assessment, counseling, referrals, group work, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Contribute to and participate in program development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation.
- Provide support, referrals, and advice to clients and service providers.
- Monitor the ongoing risk and safety needs of adults affected by family violence who access our service.
- Identify and develop services required to meet the needs of these adults.

Work within a small, supportive team of Family Violence specialists. Engage with various services across the sector. Focus on ongoing professional and career development.
