Acute Stroke/Medical Unit Registered Nurse Opportunity

Northern Beaches Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Australia, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Acute Stroke Unit/Acute Medical Unit team. As a dedicated nurse in this fast-paced environment, you will work closely with a supportive team of multidisciplinary staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional patient care in the Acute Stroke/Medical Unit, prioritizing individual needs and tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care delivery.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making processes, using sound judgment and evidence-based practice guidelines to inform patient care decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering an inclusive and empathetic work environment.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, sharing best practices and expertise to enhance unit performance and patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent degree.
  • At least 3 years' experience working in an acute hospital setting.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, with ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with capacity to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, with emphasis on patient-centered approach.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
