
Stroke Care Specialist

Northern Beaches Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Australia, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Acute Stroke Unit/Acute Medical Unit team. As a dedicated nurse in this fast-paced environment, you will work closely with a supportive team of multidisciplinary staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient care in the Acute Stroke/Medical Unit, prioritizing individual needs and tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care delivery.
- Participate in clinical decision-making processes, using sound judgment and evidence-based practice guidelines to inform patient care decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering an inclusive and empathetic work environment.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, sharing best practices and expertise to enhance unit performance and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent degree.
- At least 3 years' experience working in an acute hospital setting.
- Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, with ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with capacity to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Clinical expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, with emphasis on patient-centered approach.
- Self-motivation and ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
