Job Title: Stroke Neurology Specialist

Employment Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled medical practitioner to join our team as a Stroke Neurology Specialist.

This is a temporary part-time position within the Department of Neurology at Gosford Hospital and Wyong Hospitals, Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).

The successful candidate will be eligible for registration in New South Wales and possess the necessary qualifications and experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in stroke neurology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise medical and surgical trainees, residents, and medical students
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to Caring for the Coast vision, goals, and strategies
  • Maintain high standards of clinical practice in stroke medicine across hyperacute, acute, and post-acute phases

Requirements:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent specialist recognition
  • Recognized specialist qualifications
  • Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in stroke neurology
