We are currently partnering with a regional health service in Victoria seeking a passionate Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join their team.
Set in a picturesque part of regional Victoria, this bustling centre offers a mix of rural charm and urban convenience. With a population of over 80,000 and situated along a major river, it's known for its wineries, arts culture, outdoor lifestyle, and short flights to Melbourne and Adelaide.
The Health Service OverviewThe hospital plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to a large catchment area across regional Victoria. With more than 1200 staff and an embedded culture of patient-first care, the facility has become a hub for both emergency and specialist services.
Emergency Department DetailsThe ED sees over 33,000 presentations annually and is open 24/7, providing care across all age groups. The unit is supported by a multidisciplinary team, including Emergency Physicians, highly trained nursing staff, and experienced support teams.
About the Role Requirements- Deliver expert emergency care across a wide range of clinical presentations
- Lead and support junior doctors and nursing staff
- Foster collaborative relationships across departments for seamless patient care
- Engage in audits, education, and quality improvement activities
- Contribute to policy development and uphold clinical governance standards
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff
- Support the department's continuous learning and development initiatives
