General Medicine Medical Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director in General Medicine to lead our dynamic team in a busy regional teaching hospital.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, with excellent leadership and clinical skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-resourced department with accredited training facilities and support for IMGs who require peer review.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert medical care to patients, including inpatients, ICU, outpatients, and emergency presentations.
  • Lead and supervise junior medical staff, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes and promoting professional development.
  • Attend critical calls and lead multidisciplinary teams, utilizing strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Requirements:
  • Current AHPRA registration (unrestricted).
  • Enrolled in or eligible for college training (RACP preferred).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
