About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Compliance and Risk to join our team at Randstad. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a new portfolio within the College, ensuring top-tier safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Offer expert guidance on safe work practices, regulatory adherence, and manage comprehensive frameworks for risk management, health and safety, and regulatory compliance across the College.
  • Stay Informed on Regulatory Changes: Proactively adjust compliance strategies to meet evolving requirements.
  • Foster a Positive Risk Culture: Support and enhance compliance initiatives by fostering positive relationships and a strong risk management culture.
  • Lead a Team: Develop and lead a team focused on managing risks.
  • Develop Incident Response Plans: Create practical recommendations, audit reports, and incident response plans.
  • Implement Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain a framework dedicated to ongoing improvements in quality, safety, and assurance activities.
  • Establish Robust Processes: Establish robust processes for training, audits, and independent evaluations to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive Quality Assurance: Drive the adoption of modern tools and methodologies to enhance quality assurance and compliance practices throughout the College.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Health and Safety: Demonstrated expertise in health and safety, risk, assurance, and compliance management, ideally within large, complex organizations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understand regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, particularly relevant to higher education.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex regulations and standards and effectively communicating them to non-experts.
  • Negotiation and Influence: Exceptional ability to negotiate, influence, and provide authoritative advice.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication skills.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven success in leading audits, quality assurance initiatives, and compliance reviews.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Postgraduate Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications ideal.
