About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze current payroll systems to identify areas for improvement and implement recommendations.
  • Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive payroll system, working closely with the Payroll Superintendent and HR Manager.
  • Deliver training and support to payroll staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations, lodgements, and payments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to the Payroll Superintendent and Payroll team on payroll-related matters.
  • Work closely with the Business System team to implement authorized improvements in payroll administration systems.
  • Manage the preparation of payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in SAP Payroll is essential.
  • Experience in a similar role within the mining and civil construction industry is preferred.
  • Ability to build effective interpersonal relationships at all levels across the business.
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach and high attention to detail.
  • Solution-focused with strong influencing skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, engagement, and communication skills.
