Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations, with experience working on projects that have delivered innovative solutions for clients.


As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading investigations, preparing technical reports, designs, drawings, contract documents, and technical specifications.


You will also provide guidance to engineers across the company, maintain relationships with clients, and assist in business strategy development.


In addition, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of large and small bids, promoting and practicing KBR's Zero Harm policy.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design of large water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
  • Lead investigations and preparation of technical reports, designs, drawings, contract documents, and technical specifications.
  • Provide guidance to engineers across the company.
  • Maintain relationships with clients.
  • Assist in business strategy development.
  • Lead the preparation of large and small bids.
  • Promote and practice KBR's Zero Harm policy.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:


A strong background in mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in designing water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.


Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead and guide teams.


A proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to clients.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


Familiarity with industry-standard software and systems.
