About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our South Melbourne Support Office team as a Category Merchandising Expert. The successful candidate will have 3+ years' experience in category management, inventory management processes, forecasting, and supplier management. You will be responsible for curating, sourcing, and selecting products that meet our customers' needs while driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curate, source, and select products in line with category plans, company vision, and merchandise plans, including creating new and exclusive ranges.
  • Coordinate ranges and stories within and across categories to deliver improved commercial outcomes.
  • Execute timely range reviews to drive business growth and improve profitability.
  • Negotiate and confirm promotional plans with suppliers to achieve budgeted KPIs.
  • Improve supplier delivery performance management in collaboration with the planning and supply team.
  • Negotiate exclusives and first-to-market opportunities with suppliers while maintaining current trading terms.
  • Implement the category business plan to achieve budgeted KPIs and drive business growth.
  • Track and analyze category data to inform future product decisions.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including overseeing product setup and maintenance.
  • Support stores with timely communication to enable them to execute on time and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop and coach direct reports through performance and development plans, training, and technical skills transfer.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including superannuation, life insurance, and access to employee discounts.
