**About the Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to join our ALH Hotels Merchandise team, where you will report to the Head of Merchandise for Hotels; leading and developing the execution of the 6-18 month category strategy, leveraging data and insights to drive continuous improvement and growth for ALH and supply partners.

This position will involve collaborating across teams and suppliers to deliver world-class promotional execution and exceptional support to our store teams.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating with the Category Manager - Range to lead all Range Review, Trading Terms and Pricing discussions, negotiating commercial conversations for the Bars Driver with stakeholders, and consistently delivering and managing category sales and profit metrics.

In addition to this, you will be expected to lead and inspire your team, developing and empowering them to work end-to-end, and create a customer-first team culture while building talent pipelines and ensuring succession plans.

You’ll also:

- Continuously use data and insights to drive sustainable growth for ALH and its supply partners.
- Develop and execute a promotional category strategy to achieve key performance indicators, leveraging industry best practices.
- Gather and act on guest feedback and market insights to deliver tailored venue, product, and customer experience solutions.
- Collaborate with teams and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of products and promotions.
- Coordinate with the Category Manager - Range to lead all Range Review, Trading Terms, and Pricing discussions with internal and external teams.
- Consistently deliver and manage category sales and profit metrics, including financial, team, and customer metrics.
- Regularly review performance using available data with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate across categories and across Endeavour to achieve overall business goals.

**What you’ll need to succeed**:
You will bring to the role strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships, with proven experience in category management in a retail setting, ideally in the liquor or hospitality industry.

You’ll be adept at developing and executing category strategies with a strong understanding of leveraging data and insights to drive continuous improvement.

You will be an engaging people leader with a collaborative working style and experience leading high performing teams, you’ll be agile in your thinking and adaptable to change.

You will also have:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Extensive experience in category management, promotions and/or product marketing.
- Strong commercial acumen - ability to lead and negotiate commercial conversations for the category and business.
- Experience in data analysis, market research and insights generation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with category management software tools and systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of Supply chain and logistics principles is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
