Job Title: Human Ethics Officer

About the Role
This role provides high-quality administrative and compliance support to the Human Ethics Committees and Research Ethics & Integrity team. The primary objective is to provide effective administrative support and ensure the integrity of research activities at Murdoch University.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize Human Ethics Committee meetings, prepare agendas, attend, and minute meetings as required.
- Provide advice on procedural matters, ethics forms, National Statement guidelines, training opportunities, and considerations for managing researcher options.
- Generate correspondence as required by the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research.
- Maintain the Human Research Ethics website and ensure records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Generate and collate reports on research projects, annual reports, and statistics in line with regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:
- A related degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
- High-level administrative skills, including experience in Committee servicing.
- Ability to maintain formal records in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of staff.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Excellent skills in organizing and planning work schedules and priorities in order to meet multiple deadlines.
