Job Opportunity

This role offers the chance to lead and support the development of a critical program in health education and research.

The position is focused on providing leadership and supporting the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Capabilities Curriculum of specific years in the Medical Program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the design and delivery of teaching and assessment to ensure a comprehensive and culturally safe learning experience that meets the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Standards and Graduate Outcomes for medical programs.

Key qualifications include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline or postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience, or equivalent competence gained through any combination of health education, training and experience.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Commitment to undertake agreed professional development to progress your professional leadership and academic standing.
  • Evidence of management skills including planning, priority setting, with a proven ability to deal with multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the design and delivery of teaching and assessment to ensure a comprehensive and culturally safe learning experience.
  • Develop, review and redesign the Medical Program in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and support to the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Capabilities Curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development of academic staff and promote a culture of excellence and innovation.
