Job Title: Academic Leader in English Education

This is a permanent position for an experienced educator to lead the English faculty at a reputable school in New South Wales. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, teaching expertise, and experience in curriculum planning.

About the Role

The Academic Leader will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the faculty, including staff supervision, course development, and student assessment. They will also contribute to the strategic direction of the school by delivering effective teaching programs and implementing high-quality learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of teachers and support staff to achieve academic excellence
  • Develop and implement curriculum programs that meet national standards
  • Assess and evaluate student performance to inform teaching practices
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and parents/caregivers
  • Manage resources effectively to support faculty operations

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • NESA accreditation in teaching English and Drama
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a leadership role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
