We are seeking an experienced Chief Tax Operations Manager to join our Corporate Tax team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in Australian Tax and a proven track record of providing complex transactional tax advice to clients across various industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to provide expert tax advice and guidance to clients.
  • Resolve complex technical issues through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Assist with ATO controversy matters and provide high-quality tax compliance services to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Manage junior Tax staff and provide coaching and guidance as needed.

Work Environment:

This role offers a focus on tax technical and advisory work, with direct interaction with large listed and global clients. You will have a clear progression path ahead of you, with realistic Partnership prospects.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
  • A relaxed work environment with typical hours of 9am - 5:30pm and an hour for lunch
  • Overtime is occasionally required, but time off in lieu is often provided
  • A range of benefits and perks, including opportunities for professional development and career advancement

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary degree and one or more post-graduate qualifications (CA, CTA and/or Masters of Tax preferred)
  • 5-10 years' experience in Australian Tax, either in a Big 4, large mid-tier or corporate role
  • Proven managerial experience in a prior tax advisory role

Bonus: Prior experience in tax strategy implementation, planning support and project management will be advantageous.
