Facilities and Asset Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Asset Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our hotel properties in Cairns, FNQ. Reporting to the Area General Manager and Group Director, Development, this integral role will be responsible for managing the maintenance department budget, capital expenditure projects, ensuring preventative maintenance plans are in place, maintaining all regulatory requirements and leading the emergency response from the property perspective.

About You
  • You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and proven expertise in collaboration, asset management, compliance, operations and training to support the delivery of safe, efficient and sustainable outcomes across our portfolio of hotel properties.
  • A strong understanding of applicable laws, codes and regulations is essential for success in this role.
  • Extensive experience in facilities and project management, along with proficiency in systems such as Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is required.
The Role

As the Facilities and Asset Manager overseeing three hotels and the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading technical staff, managing multiple projects, and coordinating vendor relationships. You will also demonstrate the ability to interpret technical documentation, develop maintenance strategies, produce detailed reports and establish operational standards.
