Job Title:

  • Specialist Courts Advisor

About the Role:

  • Provide leadership, guidance and high-level expertise on complex issues to various stakeholders for the Magistrates' Court as identified by the General Manager.
  • Undertake research and analysis on strategic policy projects to identify and provide authoritative advice to enable effective decision-making by the Director and leadership team.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop project plans and deliver outcomes, including roll out across teams with agreement and engagement from Magistrates, Registrars and frontline staff.
  • Work collaboratively to develop and deliver key projects as identified in workplans, supporting delivery of service improvements.
  • Develop key priority work programs including capability frameworks, training and development plans and quality assurance frameworks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing high-profile projects requiring collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Providing expert advice on complex policy issues and developing solutions to support business objectives.
  • Liaising with senior stakeholders to build relationships and negotiate project outcomes.
  • Managing data to inform business decisions and drive process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a complex environment, including Courts and Tribunals, Government Departments.
  • Possession of strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and resilience in managing stakeholder relations.
  • Ability to demonstrate conceptual, analytical and research skills to manage strategic projects.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
