Job Summary

CQUniversity is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling complex reconciliations, performing detailed data analysis, and ensuring accurate system configurations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and settle accounts receivable and payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform detailed data analysis to identify financial inconsistencies and trends
  • Ensure accurate system configurations and maintenance of financial systems
  • Collect, administer, and process University debtors in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Relevant degree with subsequent experience or a broad knowledge in financial accounting practices
  • Demonstrated understanding or ability to acquire understanding of ACCC Guidelines for Collectors and Creditors, Office of Fair Trading guidelines, and other legislative requirements
  • Competence in utilising large corporate accounting information systems and business support software
  • Proven experience and knowledge of accounting procedures, including accounts receivable and reconciliation processes
  • Excellent communication skills, maintaining positive interactions with stakeholders and team members
