Senior Industrial Development Specialist

The Senior Industry and Employment Officer will play a pivotal role in fortifying local industry, specifically manufacturing, and facilitating inclusive employment outcomes across Greater Dandenong.
This position will support the delivery of a novel Employment Hub, a significant three-year initiative designed to connect local people with local jobs. The role also contributes to the delivery of South East Business Network programs and events, fostering collaboration and innovation across the region.
Key responsibilities include establishing partnerships with manufacturing and other local businesses, coordinating employment programs and partnerships, and providing senior leadership within the team.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary Qualifications: In economic development, business, employment services, or a related field
- Industry Engagement Experience: Proven experience in industry engagement and delivering employment programs or workforce development initiatives
- Stakeholder Engagement Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Project Coordination Ability: Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and develop strategic partnerships
- Analytical Skills: Analytical skills to interpret data and apply insights
