Job Title: Senior Dams Engineer

At Jacobs, we're committed to delivering innovative solutions for our clients. As a Senior Dams Engineer, you'll play a key role in our water resources practice, working on complex dam safety projects and collaborating with other disciplines to drive success.

Your Impact

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team. As a Senior Dams Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Undertaking dam safety projects, including supervision of small teams to deliver projects
  • Completing office-based geotechnical assessments using modelling software packages where appropriate
  • Preparing proposals and bid documents
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Presenting information to clients, stakeholders, and internal management in a concise and effective manner
  • Authoring complex assessments/reports
  • Report checking and review
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Ability to author technical reports detailing the type, methodologies, results of field activities, interpretation of results, and impact assessment
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Confident communication and liaison skills with clients
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, contribute to business development, and support the pursuit of new opportunities
  • Effective collaboration with the wider water resources practice to share technical skills, resources, or work packages
  • Proficiency in standard tools, techniques, and equipment required for the undertaking, completion, and delivery of work
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
  • Ability to communicate results and analysis with internal and external clients
