About the Role
The Business Development Manager, Emerging Markets is a newly created position designed to develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve significant growth in our Emerging Market Sector for our Services and Product business, which includes Mining, Utilities, Rail, Defence, and Telecommunications.
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will work closely with technical and account management professionals to present network solutions and services to senior-level mobile operators, consultants, construction companies, and electrical contractors. You will be responsible for building customer relationships, understanding their business and network challenges, and responding with solutions to meet all stakeholder requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the market sector by forming a strategy and leading the generation of sales leads, and closing deals/contracts in the market sectors outlined above.
- Combine existing products/services to create new products, services, or solutions that once sold become standard organisational offerings.
- Conduct product demonstrations, prepare sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts, and negotiate contracts, as well as account management.
About You
- You are an experienced Business Development manager in the mobile or transmission space.
- You have a solid track record of developing business and achieving sales growth in infrastructure products and services for the sector.
- You have a detailed understanding of GSM/WCDMA/LTE access networks.
- You have demonstrated experience with high-level strategy, business alignment, and relationship management.
- You will have an established network with key carrier and construction operators in Australia.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience motivating and developing teams, and driving success in managing and supporting bids and proposals.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences.
