Job Summary:

The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for promoting a consistent and fair approach to all employee relation matters within their designated region. This includes case management of employee relations matters, such as leave of absence, disciplinary and grievances, performance improvement, investigations, and reasonable accommodations. The role also involves maintaining employee relations records and supporting analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and guide managers on all matters relating to employee relations, and general guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Effective case management of people-related issues through to conclusion, working independently or in support of cases led by the HRBP, Legal, H&S or compliance teams.
  • Undertake investigations, prepare reports and documentation in support of cases in compliance with local law and regulations.
  • Maintain employee relations records, both written and held on the HRIS system, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulation and other record-keeping compliance.
  • Monitor trends, collate and analyze data, prepare presentations to enable business insights.
  • Promote a positive employee relations culture within the business, through enabling a fair and consistent approach to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Four-year college degree in Human Resources or business area, plus two years of experience working within the HR team in an employee relation role, HR generalist or similar. HR certification or working towards preferred. Good understanding of employment law and HR best practice, with the aptitude to learn and apply knowledge.
