Job Overview:

The Workplace Relations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the People and Culture team to drive positive people management outcomes.

This key position is responsible for providing high-quality advice and support on industrial and employee relations matters to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage workplace relations matters such as employee or manager queries, providing written and verbal advice on employee entitlements, policies, and procedures.
  • Advising stakeholders on matters requiring interpretation of employment legislation, organisational policies, and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Assist the Workplace Relations team in preparing high-quality documentation and plans related to consultative committees, enterprise bargaining, and implementation, Fair Work, and other tribunal matters.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in workplace relations/employment law, human resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in a workplace relations/human resources background with proficient knowledge and interpretation of employment legislation and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Ability to perform under competing deadlines, respond quickly to urgent requests, and achieve effective results within given time frames.
