Accommodation & Hospitality Manager - Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a strong leader with previous maintenance or engineering experience within a strata/MLR operation to take ownership of the maintenance department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and completing all general maintenance in a timely and efficient manner, developing and overseeing a preventative maintenance plan, and coordinating with external contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and complete all general maintenance in a timely and efficient manner
- Develop and oversee a preventative maintenance plan
- Coordinate with external contractors
- Provide leadership and direction to maintenance team members
- Conduct general inspections of the property
- Ensure all chargeable and non-chargeable works are reported
- Monitor and maintain department expenses
- Record the costs of repairs
- Plan regular maintenance and upkeep of equipment
- Prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance
- Oversee waste management
- Ensure maintenance stores are kept at the required par stock level
- Keep informed regarding new trends and products
- Participate in scheduled training and development
- Attend departmental and body corporate meetings
- Compile reports
- General public area cleaning duties, gardening duties, and pool maintenance tasks
- Provide passionate and friendly service to external and internal guests
- Assist guests with enquiries and complaints
- Comply with guest privacy and security procedures
- Foster a culture of open communication with other departments
- Handle amenities, chemicals, and equipment according to instructions
- Undertake special projects
Requirements:
- A strong leader with previous maintenance or engineering experience within a strata/MLR operation
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- A comprehensive financial understanding of managing a profitable operation
- Familiarity with WHS legislation compliance
- Availability to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours
Annual Base Salary: $73, $85, gross) based on qualifications and experience
