**Occupational Therapist Role Overview**This position involves working with youth aged 12 to 25, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.Job Description:

The Occupational Therapist will employ a relational approach to practice, focusing on empowering youth to make positive changes in their lives. This includes developing and implementing tailored programs to address mental health and addiction challenges.

Collaboration is key in this role, working closely with youth, members of the Integrated Youth Services team, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registered member of the NS Society of Occupational Therapists (NSSOT)
  • Registered, or eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required
  • Current and up-to-date CPR and First Aid training required
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training; or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment required
  • Brain Story training or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment required
  • Mental Health First Aid training or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment required
