About this Role

Our organisation is seeking a casual Therapeutic Youth Worker to work across various locations in Sydney, Australia.

This role is situated within our Specialist Homelessness Service and A Place to Go Programs, providing support and accommodation to vulnerable young people.

Main Objectives
  • To deliver trauma-informed residential supports that promote emotional, social, and behavioural well-being among young people;
  • To provide safety, stability, predictability, and consistency by implementing therapeutic routines and individual plans;
  • To collaborate with teams to ensure services meet the needs of young people.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in youth services, residential care, or supported accommodation;
  • Understanding of youth homelessness and ability to relate to young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties;
  • Ability to implement case plan goals for young people with challenging behaviours;

Candidates are required to address the Key Selection Criteria outlined below as part of their application.

Essential Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles).
