I-MED Radiology Fortitude Valley is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Radiographer to take on the challenging role of Chief Radiographer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our busy radiology department, providing leadership and support to our team of technologists, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical imaging services to our patients and referrers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the daily technologist workforce requirements and productivity in the clinic, working closely with the Area Chief Radiographer to ensure effective staff rostering, annual leave planning, and management of sick and other leave as required.
- Manage, develop, and mentor technologist staff, providing clinical guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical imaging services.
- Ensure outstanding service delivery and provide supervision of the day-to-day management of the Medical Imaging department, including quality improvement initiatives and review of work practices to improve clinical and financial outcomes.
- Perform routine and specialized medical imaging procedures to the highest professional standards as required, maintaining a strong focus on patient care and safety.
- Establish and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with local GPs and referring specialists, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Ability to manage, coach, and lead clinic staff, with a strong focus on team engagement and development.
- Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality medical imaging examinations employing correct techniques to the accepted industry standard or above.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel verbally and in writing.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of I-MED Radiology Network.
- General and CT experience required; MRI highly regarded.
