Job Title: Patient Transport Officer
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Patient Transport Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transport services in Bankstown, NSW.
About the RoleThe role of the Patient Transport Officer is to provide safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from medical facilities. This includes performing patient assessments, administering medication, and providing emotional support to patients during transit.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and intervene as necessary to ensure safe transportation
- Provide high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
- Assess the effectiveness of any intervention in accordance with all guidelines and regulations
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve seamless patient care
- Maintain an understanding of policies and procedures to support best practice and patient outcome
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum qualification of Cert III in Non-emergency Patient Care
- Experience working in the NEPT sector (desirable but not essential)
- A FULL Victorian Drivers licence and ability to drive in city and country traffic conditions
- Availability to work shifts across a 7-day roster
