Rural Clinical Campuses Wellbeing Support Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join UNSW Australia as a Rural Clinical Campuses Wellbeing Support Specialist. As part of our student services team, you will be responsible for providing wellbeing care services to students with social, emotional, health and wellbeing needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provision of triage, assessment and short solutions-based therapy to students with psychosocial support needs
- Collaboration with Faculty Wellbeing Officer, senior academic and professional staff at local Rural Clinical Campuses sites, and local services
- Liaising with UNSW Central Services such as Mental Health Connect, Psychology and Wellness, Equitable Learning Service and Student Support Team
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Mental Health Nurse with registration or eligibility for registration
- Experience working with individuals with psychosocial support needs, conducting psycho-social needs and risks assessments, and undertaking short-term therapeutic interventions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, contributing positively and proactively within a small team
- Capacity to advocate on behalf of students and support them to navigate program and administrative processes
- Competitive salary: $43,819 - $65,683 per annum (pro-rata), plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
