About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Tomaree Community Hospital. As a Rural Healthcare Specialist, you will work across both our Emergency Department and General Medical Ward, delivering high-quality care to our patients.

You will be part of a highly skilled and motivated nursing team, supported by Clinical Nurse Specialists and Clinical Nurse Educators. Our Management Team is committed to ensuring staff feel supported, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and have opportunities to achieve their career goals.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn, develop, and grow both rural generalist skills and rural Emergency skills. You will work in a beautiful location, providing healthcare to people living in Nelson Bay and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department and General Medical Ward
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and the local community

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Advanced assessment skills, ability to prioritise care, and strong communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, excellent time management, and ability to stay well-organised
