Job Title:

Credit Portfolio Strategist - Risk Management Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Retail Credit Risk team in identifying trends, patterns and emerging risks in credit risk. The role requires a deep understanding of credit risk data and analytics to inform business decisions.

The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years' experience in credit risk or portfolio analytics within banking or financial services. A strong background in data analysis, problem-solving and report writing is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Strategy & Governance: Design and implement credit risk data strategies to support analytical and reporting needs. Ensure compliance with established frameworks and maintain data accuracy and integrity.
  2. Risk Assessment & Analysis: Utilize data analysis to identify trends, patterns and emerging risks in credit risk. Provide insights to inform business decisions and drive strategic planning.
  3. Portfolio Monitoring & Oversight: Monitor the portfolio on all performance monitoring triggers and initiate corrective action where required. Champion continuous improvement of control processes by identifying and highlighting gaps/risk.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in credit risk or portfolio analytics within banking or financial services.
  • Exposure across SAS, SQL, Tableau or other reporting tools is beneficial.
  • Relevant university degree with above average academic achievements in mathematics, commerce or statistics.
  • Excellent data interrogation, numerical and report writing skills.
  • Developed problem-solving skills.
