Support Service Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Service Practitioner.

">

The successful candidate will work with partner agencies within the Orange Door to provide an effective and responsive service, providing a more visible contact point so that people know where to go for specialist support. They will also help people identify family violence and child wellbeing issues, provide advice based on contemporary risk assessment tools and guidance, and provide specialist support and tailored advice for victims, families and children, and perpetrators. In addition, they will assist in promoting the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals and communities.

To be successful in this role, you will require a high level of understanding of family violence drivers, risk assessment, and safety planning. You will need to have experience working with families and children with complex needs and risk issues, and be able to conduct comprehensive safety and wellbeing assessments. You must also demonstrate the ability to engage with families who are reluctant to use support services, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
