About the Role:

Lindsay Australia Ltd is seeking an experienced Dock Operations Supervisor to join our team at our Innisfail depot. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth management of our warehouse cross dock operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of up to 5 dock personnel, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Assist with the receiving, storing, staging, and loading of all stock in and out, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Ensure correct loading and unloading techniques are performed to protect product from damage, adhering to COR requirements and legislation.
  • Deliver effective communications to employees through toolbox talks, training, and team meetings.
  • Perform manual loading and unloading as required, demonstrating safe work practices and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Lead staff by example, promoting a positive and productive work culture.
  • Perform stock takes as required, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role, ideally in a docking or warehouse environment.
  • Current and valid forklift license.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to manage staff effectively.
  • Prior experience with loading and unloading of freight, ideally perishable goods.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with good attention to detail.
  • Inventory management skills.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to work with ever-changing priorities.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Well-developed communication skills.

You will be a natural leader, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
