Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Monitor and control the flow of goods through the Cross Dock facility to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
    • Manage and coordinate the activities of Cross Dock teams to meet operational and customer requirements.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations, including Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle regulations.
    • Identify and mitigate potential safety risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure that customer requirements are met, and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on operational performance, including metrics on safety, service, and cost.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and implement changes as necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
