Lead Financial Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Lead Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager and CFO in managing day-to-day finance functions.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely submission of monthly and statutory reports, oversee revenue recognition and strengthen financial controls.
  • Internal Recovery & Asset Management: Manage internal recovery processes, Capex lifecycle and fixed asset register for accuracy and compliance.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Develop a high-performing finance team, promote accountability and growth, and collaborate on recruitment initiatives.
  • Culture & Collaboration: Foster a supportive team environment, encourage innovation, and drive continuous improvement across finance operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in financial accounting or audit environments.
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting (e.g., Bachelor of Commerce).
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in ATO compliance and cost recovery processes.
