Senior Financial Accountant Position

This is a senior financial accounting role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and outstanding communication. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in financial accounting, audit coordination, and compliance, with a deep understanding of AASB/IFRS and general ledger ownership.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our finance team as a Senior Financial Accountant. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial control, ensuring tax compliance, and driving business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Close & Reporting: Lead the preparation and review of journal entries, ensuring the accuracy of trial balance coding.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Oversee monthly reconciliations of payroll liabilities, tax balances, inventory, GRNI, and COGS roll over.
- Compliance & Tax Support: Provide expert support for PAYG, payroll tax, Novated lease FBT submissions, and GST/BAS preparation.
- Audit Coordination & Statutory Reporting: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, preparing supporting documentation and responding to audit queries.
