Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned financial expert to fill the role of Senior Financial Leader. This key position within our Corporate & Financial Services team requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and strategic thinking.

About the Role

The Senior Financial Leader will be responsible for managing and leading the Finance team, providing guidance and oversight of our financial systems, reporting, and compliance. This includes:

  • Financial Leadership: Manage and lead the Finance team, ensuring effective implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Budgeting & Planning: Develop, monitor, and report on our Annual Budget, Long Term Financial Plan, and quarterly budget reviews.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly management reports, Annual Financial Statements, and performance indicators.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and regulations while maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Treasury & Risk: Manage our treasury operations, including cash flow, investments, loans, and financial risk.
  • Audit & Governance: Liaise with external auditors, prepare Audit and Risk Committee reports, and contribute to risk management and audit outcomes.
  • Asset Management Support: Provide financial expertise to support the planning and management of our assets.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Financial Expertise: Proven experience in financial and accounting management, preferably in a regulated environment.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA or CA status (or working towards).
  • Leadership Capability: Strong people leadership skills and the ability to develop, mentor, and lead a team.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to long-term financial planning and advise senior leaders on financial matters.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, with experience in managing audit, reporting, and compliance obligations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and data analysis capabilities, with a keen eye for financial detail.
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience with financial management systems, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and reporting software.
