Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking an accomplished Financial Accountant to join our global finance team. As a key player, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial control systems and reporting processes.

Your primary focus will be on managing month-end close and reporting procedures, including journal entries, trial balance coding, and reconciliation of payroll liabilities, tax balances, inventory, GRNI, and COGS roll over.

You will also support compliance and tax initiatives by preparing PAYG, payroll tax, Novated lease FBT submissions and GST/BAS preparation. Additionally, you will work with external advisors on income tax reconciliations and coordinate QuickSuper file approvals as required.

In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for external auditors during audit coordination and statutory reporting.

Other responsibilities may include ad hoc and project work, such as regulatory updates, audit prep, local project tasks, and one-off adjustments or write-off journals.

This position requires strong technical skills, including a deep understanding of AASB/IFRS, general ledger ownership, and control environments. You must have proficiency in ERP and BI tools, such as Oracle, Micropay, QlikView, OBIEE, Power BI, LeaseQuery, and Excel.

The ideal candidate will possess a professional qualification like CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, audit coordination, and compliance. Self-motivation, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
