Cultural Heritage Professional

We are seeking a Heritage Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for delivering heritage work in line with relevant legislation, heritage agreements and internal standards.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of cultural heritage management and the ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders through excellent communication skills.
The role will involve building strong relationships with Traditional Owners, facilitating scientific research to understand the heritage landscape, collaborating internally with operations to identify solutions to minimise heritage impact and align on priorities, partnering with community organisations and working closely with government agencies.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be driven by a personal desire to make a positive difference in the community combined with a clear understanding of the role that resources play in cultural heritage management.
You will also have a tertiary qualification in Anthropology, Archaeology, Cultural Heritage Management, Indigenous Studies or similar/equivalent, experience working positively with Aboriginal people and communities, and a working knowledge of cultural heritage survey process, site recording methodologies and South Australia heritage legislation.
