Role Overview

The Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the management of cultural heritage matters across various projects.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the appropriate management of Aboriginal heritage requirements in line with legislative and policy frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective management frameworks to provide expert guidance on cultural heritage matters.
  • Providing timely and authoritative advice to stakeholders on Aboriginal heritage issues associated with construction and operational activities.
  • Fostering positive relationships with diverse Aboriginal communities through engaging and collaborative approaches.
  • Assessing training needs for employees and contractors to ensure adequate understanding of Aboriginal cultural and heritage matters.
  • Driving the development and implementation of policies and strategies related to Aboriginal cultural heritage.

For this role, we are seeking an individual with:

  • A tertiary qualification or professional experience in a similar area.
  • Proven understanding of Commonwealth and State legislation relevant to Aboriginal heritage.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in communicating sensitively and effectively with First Nations People.
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues specific to Aboriginal heritage management.
