This is a key role in supporting the delivery of programs to manage risks to cultural heritage.

\About This Role\
  • You will develop, review and implement frameworks to provide expert guidance in cultural heritage matters and protection of Aboriginal heritage.
  • You will support infrastructure delivery and operational activities in line with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Key responsibilities include coordinating frameworks, providing timely advice on Aboriginal heritage matters, building relationships with Aboriginal communities, assessing training needs, driving policy development and contributing to reconciliation action plans.

Success in this role requires:

  • A tertiary qualification or professional experience in this area.
  • A demonstrated understanding of Commonwealth and State legislation relevant to Aboriginal heritage.
  • A strong knowledge of communicating sensitively with First Nations People.
