Sa Water seeks an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Advisor to support the delivery of capital and operational programs. This role will play a crucial part in managing risks to cultural heritage, including developing and implementing corporate management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice on Aboriginal heritage matters associated with construction and operational activities.">
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with Aboriginal communities.">
  • Assessing training needs for employees and contractors to ensure appropriate understanding of Aboriginal cultural and heritage matters.">

Requirements:

This role requires a strong understanding of Commonwealth and State legislation relevant to Aboriginal heritage, as well as demonstrated experience in communicating sensitively and effectively with First Nations people.

A tertiary qualification or professional experience in this area is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of community engagement processes and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
