Family Support Coordinator

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate individual to oversee and coordinate community activities with a focus on families.

  • Analyse local community needs using data and evidence.
  • Establish programs responding to identified family needs.
  • Foster relationships with relevant community groups and organisations.
  • Monitor program budgets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build connections with local families accessing the community hub.
  • Establish a child safe, trauma-informed family connection space.
  • Coordinate school holiday programs for the local community.
  • Recruit and train volunteers.
  • Provide pastoral care and discipleship activities.
Requirements
  • A commitment to the Christian faith and mission.
  • An enrolled and active soldier of The Salvation Army (preferred).
  • A current and valid NSW Working with Children Check.
  • The ability to offer pastoral assistance and explain the Christian Gospel.
  • Experience in a Ministry position, ideally working with children and their families.
  • Experience within a community setting (desirable).
