Your Opportunity

The Goulburn and Queanbeyan Sustaining Tenancy Program supports tenants in social housing across Queanbeyan and Goulburn who are at risk of losing their tenancy. We provide holistic support for our clients, creating individualised case plans that help them achieve sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with clients to develop tailored case plans utilising SMART goals including referral to supplementary services as needed.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to sustain tenancies and promote positive change.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of community events to improve outcomes through community engagement and education.
  • Deliver training programs which support the practical needs of the clients, addressing challenges in the social housing sector.
Requirements for Success
  • Previous experience in the community service sector is essential for success.
  • Diploma or Degree level qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health or other related discipline is desirable.
  • A good understanding of the challenges and difficulties in the social housing sector is crucial.
  • The ability to work with clients who are facing challenging and multiple barriers to tenancy.
  • Confident relationship builder with the ability to quickly build rapport and trust.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital for this role.
  • Previous experience developing complex case plans and providing holistic support is highly valued.
  • A current Driving Licence is required.
