Culinary Expertise Wanted

We seek a highly skilled and passionate culinary professional to oversee our kitchen operations. Key responsibilities include maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key tasks include ordering, storage, and preparation of food stock in various spaces, minimizing wastage of product and utilities. Food must be prepared to standard recipes and portion controls that meet company standards.

Other key duties involve managing stock levels to meet forecasted operations, creating specialty dishes occasionally by utilizing slow-moving stocks or excess items.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Energetic and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales across multiple offerings.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar hospitality facility, with a completed traineeship as a qualified cook.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels, with experience in large group catering up to 120 pax.
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety legislation, with a current CPR Certificate and Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
Desirable Qualities
  • Experience in roles with responsibility for outcomes, such as managing teams or budgets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to contribute across other departments for efficiency.
  • Experience with a larger multi-venue, multi-state company, with a strong understanding of customer service principles.
