Job Opportunity: Nutrition Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Nutrition Assistant to join our Clinical Nutrition Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering quality nutrition care to patients, working collaboratively with and under the supervision of relevant health professionals.

  • The successful candidate will support Home Enteral Nutrition Services and acute General Medicine wards, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive hospital environment.
  • The department provides care to patients across various therapy services, including acute, subacute and community settings.
  • Wellbeing, supervision, reflective practice, professional development, student teaching, quality improvement and research are core focuses of our team.

About This Role

  • You will possess excellent organisational skills, computer literacy and administration skills, enabling you to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • You will be able to follow instructions under guidance of relevant health professionals and demonstrate your ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • You will have effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Tertiary education in Nutrition/Health Sciences/Biological or Chemical Sciences/Food Science/Food Technology or similar is desirable, but not essential.
  • You will have experience working in a health sector or customer-facing role, applying your knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality patient care.
