Dietary Specialist in Bariatric SurgeryThis role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled dietitian to join our team and contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care in the outpatient setting.
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced dietitian to work within our surgical stream, under the direction of senior clinicians and the senior dietitian. The primary workload allocation will be in outpatient services to bariatric surgery, IBD, and HITH.
- The successful candidate will have qualifications to practice as a dietitian in Australia, recognized by Dietitians Australia (DA), and meet the criteria for the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) program.
- They will possess sound clinical nutrition knowledge in bariatric surgery and IBD, with experience in working effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, efficient workload management, and ability to prioritize tasks will be essential for success in this role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with effective counseling skills and a commitment to patient-centered care, are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the surgical stream under the direction of senior clinicians and the senior dietitian.
- Primary workload allocation will be in outpatient services to bariatric surgery, IBD, and HITH.
- Workload allocation may vary according to operational needs across the stream and department.
