Dietary Assistant

The role of a Dietary Assistant is vital in providing non-clinical services, encompassing food preparation, patient support and cleaning duties. Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas and equipment, accurately assembling tray supplies and food on the production line.
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene when handling equipment and utensils
- Cleaning and sanitizing patient trays and trolleys
To be successful in this position, one must possess excellent verbal communication skills, demonstrated customer service experience from healthcare or hospitality environments and undergo physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling. A Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1 and comprehensive understanding of diet codes, texture modified foods and fluids, food allergies and intolerances are also required.
