About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Caretaker and Support Specialist to join our team in Canberra, ACT. As a key member of our after-hours operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Job Description

  • Safety and Security: Monitor building security and safety, performing perimeter checks and resolving issues or emergencies that arise while on duty.
  • Administration: Carry out administration tasks including maintaining records, processing payments, audit, reporting, etc.
  • Incident Management: Effectively manage incidents during night shift, including grievances and conflict resolution.
  • Resident Support: Act as a support to residents, forming a friendly and open point of contact for assistance, information, and welfare.
  • Noise and Disturbance Management: Respond to resident calls about noise or disturbances within the building, and lock-outs.
  • Training and Development: Attend relevant training and mandatory staff meetings when required.

Requirements

  • National Police Check: Completed within the last 3 months.
  • Working with Vulnerable People's Check: Required.
  • Valid Work Rights: In Australia.
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate: Mandatory.

Estimate Salary: AU$45,000 - AU$55,000 per year (dependent on experience).
