Civil Construction Apprenticeship Opportunity

This apprenticeship program is designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in a civil construction career. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing field.

During this 3-year fixed-term apprenticeship, you will earn while you learn and combine paid work with structured training to develop practical, in-demand skills for a career in civil construction. You will receive comprehensive training, including Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance) through structured in-person classes at TAFE, as well as practical on-the-job experience to apply what you learn.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident
  • Have completed Year 10 or hold a Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or equivalent
  • Be ready to commence full-time employment in February 2026
  • Hold, or be in the process of obtaining, a C Class driver licence
  • Have access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot
  • Be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or near live traffic as required
  • Be willing to travel as part of your role
  • Have basic computer literacy skills
  • Demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, accountable approach in all you do
