Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a key member of our Merchandise team, shaping the product offering for a dynamic and fashion-forward retailer. As a Womenswear Buyer, you will play a vital role in delivering maximum profitability and brand cohesion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Merchandise Leadership Team on full-year commercial and strategic direction for the portfolio
  • Regularly review the portfolio to ensure financial targets are met and risks highlighted
  • Conduct trend research and monitor brand health to ensure relevance for the consumer
  • Develop seasonal introductions, training, and visual merchandising directives to deliver to the retail team
  • Create a customer-centric range architecture
  • Identify sales trends and highlight best and worst performers and areas of opportunity
  • Evaluate assortment depth and size curves to ensure they are relevant and in line with sales trends
  • Gain a deep understanding of the customer through robust market research
  • Negotiate the best commercial outcome, including intake margin, markdown assistance, and/or rebates
  • Work closely with Brand Partners and Marketing to ensure successful launches and campaign executions, delivering strong ROI
  • Sources new and relevant brands to enable category growth
  • Analyze sales at store and brand level, highlighting opportunities
  • Weekly in-depth review of the portfolio and delivery of performance/suggested actions at Trade Meetings
